BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Washington & Jefferson College men's golf team wrapped the first of two rounds at the Bluffton Fall Classic. The team heads into the final round in fifth place, shooting a 304 as a collective.

Top W&J Individual: Freshman
Shane Williams (Peters Township, Pa./Peters Township) finished round one of the fall classic as the Presidents top finisher in a tie for sixth. The first year Presidents closed out the round with an even par of 72 on the day. Williams is one stroke outside of the top four golfers.
Notables:
Matthew Morelli (New Castle, Pa./Neshannock) wrapped up round one as the next best finished as the sophomore posted a round score of 74 on the day.
William Ainsworth (Woldingham, Surrey/Reigate Grammar School) finished in the top 25 in a tie for 21
st place with three opposing golfers. Ainsworth shot a 76 on he round, four shots over par.
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: Ohio Northern and Northwestern (Ohio) holds the top spot at the Beaver Fall Classic after posting a round one score of 292.
Top Individual: Aashir Patel of the Ohio Northern Polar Bears holds sole possession of first place after the first day of the Beaver Fall Classic. Patel finished with a 66 on the day, currently six shots under par.
