BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Washington & Jefferson College men's golf team wrapped the final round at the Beaver Fall Classic. The team finished in fifth place, having shot 618.

Top W&J Individual:
Matthew Morelli (New Castle, Pa./Neshannock) concluded the classic as the Presidents' top finisher in a tie for ninth. Morelli shot 150 on the weekend, finishing six over par.
Notables: Freshman
Shane Williams (Peters Township, Pa./Peters Township) dropped to a tie for 22
nd place after posting a weekend score of 154.
William Ainsworth (Woldingham, Surrey/Reigate Grammar School) finished close behind in a tie for 27
th with a 157 on the weekend.
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: Northwestern (Ohio) jumped to the top spot on day two to win the Beaver Fall Classic. The Racers shot a second-round low of 296 to move into the top spot.
Top Individual: Aashir Patel of Ohio Northern remained in the lead as the top golfer at the Beaver Fall Classic following each round. Patel finished the weekend six under par with a 138 on the weekend.
Up Next: W&J men's golf returns to action on Monday (Oct. 13) for the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships. Action will take place at The Grand Resort in Warren, Ohio.
