TRAFFORD, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson College freshman Mackenzie Caron (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) has been selected as the Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Swim & Dive Newcomer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday (Nov. 11). This is the second time that Caron has been selected for this award.
 
Caron led the W&J women against Division II Ashland with a first-place finish in the 200 breaststroke. The freshman outpaced all swimmers in the event with a time of 2:32.77, which is the third-fastest by a PAC swimmer this season. She also placed third in the 100 back with a time of 1:03.84, fifth-best this year in the PAC.
 
The Presidents return to the pool for a weekend long invitational at Division II Malone. The first day of events on Thursday (Nov. 20) is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m.
