Men’s Tennis Falls Short in PAC Quarterfinals Against Saint Vincent

Box Score LATROBE, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College men's tennis team dropped their Presidents' Athletic Conference Tournament Quarterfinals matchup against the No. 4 seeded Saint Vincent Bearcats, 4-1.
 
The Bearcats picked up the first team point of the afternoon through partnered play, 1-0. Jackson Akers (Logan, W. Va./Logan) and Aarav Surapaneni (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon Area) picked up the sole win for W&J at No. 3 doubles, 6-1.
 
The Presidents closed out play with a 3-1 record in individual play. Senior Abhinav Yarramaneni (Mountain View, Calif./Los Altos) was the sole win for the Presidents at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-0. Despite the Presidents' 4-1 loss, Srivatsa Bellamkonda (Sewickley, Pa./North Allegheny) and Alex Duing (South Park, Pa./South Park) each looked primed to put the Presidents in winning position. Bellamkonda paused his match up 4-3 in the third set at No. 5 singles. Duing was one game victory away from extending his No. 2 singles match to a tie-breaking third set, up 5-3 in the second set.
 
The No. 5 seeded Presidents wrap their 2025 campaign 8-11 on the year and 4-4 in conference play.
