WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College men's tennis team (0-1) opened up their fall season with a 6-1 defeat to the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets (1-0).
The Yellow Jackets were on the front foot from the very beginning, winning all three doubles matches. The Yellow Jackets continued this momentum into the singles matches. Senior captain
Nate Clarke (New Kensington, Pa./Valley) picked up the lone point for the Presidents with a 6-3, 7-6 win at the No. 4 singles position.
The Presidents look to rebound when they face the Mount Union Purple Raiders on Monday (Sept. 15) at the Janet Swanson Tennis Center. Doubles matches will begin at 4:00 p.m. with singles matches to follow afterwards.
