LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College men's golf team wrapped up The Gauntlet with a sixth-place finish. The team shot a collective 602 for the two-round event, finishing with a five shot improvement between the first and second rounds.

Top W&J Individual: Freshman
Sean Clark (Madison, Wis./Monona Grove) finished in a three-way tie for 15
th place with a 147 in two rounds. His 18-hole best came during Monday's portion where he shot a 73.
Notables: Sophomore
William Ainsworth (Woldingham, Surrey/Reigate Grammar School) improved his score by six shots in the second round to finish tied for 20th having shot a 150. Sophomore
Matthew Morelli (New Castle, Pa./Neshannock) finished right behind Ainsworth with a tie for 25th finish and a score of 151.
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: The Drew Rangers led the tournament after both rounds having shot 572 as a team. The Rangers finished 12 shots over par and placed two golfers in the top 10.
Top Individual: Elliot Parker of Drew finished the tournament having shot a 132, ending the 36-hole tournament eight shots under par.
Up next: The Presidents return this Saturday (Sept. 27) when they travel to the Franciscan Fall Invitational. W&J will tee off at 1:30 p.m. at Steubenville Country Club.
