STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Washington & Jefferson College men's golf team wrapped up 18 holes of golf at the Franciscan Fall Invitational. The Presidents placed third shooting 312 as a team, finishing 24 shots over par.

W&J: 3rd out of 7
Top W&J Individual: Matthew Morelli (New Castle, Pa./Neshannock) finished atop the W&J golfers competing at the Franciscan invite. Morelli finished tied for third place having shot a 73 on the afternoon. The sophomore was one shot over par.
Notables: Freshman
Sean Clark (Madison, Wis./Monona Grove) continued his productive start to his collegiate career, finishing in a tie for seventh place with an 18-hole mark of 77.
Alexander Robins (Buckinghamshire, England/Bedford School) wrapped the Presidents' top finishers in 20
th place having shot an 80 on the afternoon.
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: The Marietta Pioneers were the Franciscan Fall Invitational victors as they combined for a team total of 303. The team shot 15 over par, eight strokes off the next best team.
Top Individual: Luke Gronbeck of Grove City and David Link Jr. of Muskingum edged Morelli for a combined invitational victory. Each golfer shot for par (72) on the afternoon.
Up next: The Presidents will brave a rapid turnaround as they travel to the Grove City Invitational on Monday (Sept. 29). Golfers are scheduled to tee off at 1:00 p.m.
