NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College diving team wrapped competition at the annual Rich Sentner Diving Invitational hosted by Westminster.
Sophomore standout diver
Zach Lloyd (Dillsburg, Pa./Lloyd Academy (Homeschooled)) highlighted the Presidents' performances at the annual Westminster diving invite. Lloyd took home first place in the 1-meter dive (11 dives) with a total score of 402.1. Lloyd also placed sixth in the 3-meter dive with a total score of 187.35.
Will Angus (Grafton, W.Va./Grafton) also placed among the top divers in the 1-meter dive (11 dives), finishing third with a total score of 259.4. Angus also placed 7
th in the 3-meter dive with a total score of 159.3.
Melvin McRae (Lillington, N.C./Overhills) and
Brian Lowry (Wenonah, N.J./Gloucester County Institute of Technology) rounded out the W&J divers in the 1-meter dive (11 dives), taking 4
th and 5
th place with respective scores of 255.1 and 244.8. McRae also finished 8
th in the 3-meter dive with a total score of 145.95.
Amiyah White (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove Area) was the sole diver for the W&J women, placing 6
th in the 1-meter dive (11 dives) with a total score of 261.5.
Both the swimming and diving teams will return to the Henry Memorial Natatorium for the team's senior recognition and Morgan's Message game against the Allegheny Gators. First event of the meet is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
