TRAFFORD, Pa. - Washington & Jefferson College women's lacrosse earned two Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week selections, announced by the conference on Monday (April 20).
Senior
Mya Bolinda (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) picked up her second PAC Midfielder of the Week award. Bolindahad 11 total points on the week with seven goals and four assists and collected her 200th career point. She also had seven draw controls, three ground balls and one caused turnover in the 2-0 week. Bolinda posted a five-point performance against Saint Vincent with four goals and one assist. She also had four draw controls, two ground balls and one caused turnover on Wednesday night. Bolinda earned her career milestone against Bethany on senior day, compiling six points with three goals and three assists.
Freshman
Bekah Meiklejohn (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro) earned her first PAC Rookie of the Week honor. Meiklejohn led the W&J women's lacrosse team to a 2-0 week in conference play, as she compiled 14 points with six goals and eight assists. She also grabbed four ground balls, caused three turnovers and collected two ground balls. In a PAC win over Saint Vincent, Meiklejohn posted her season-high in points with nine, tallying three goals and six assists along with two ground balls and one caused turnover. In a victory over Bethany, Meiklejohn added another five points to her totals with three goals and two assists and also had two draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
W&J concludes the regular season at Hiram on Wednesday, April 22. Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
