SHARON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College men's golf team won its second tournament of the season at the Thiel Spring Invitational. The team posted a 292 through 18 holes of play. The W&J B team also finished in third place, having shot a 301.

W&J: 1st of 11
Top W&J Individual: Matthew Morelli (New Castle, Pa./Neshannock) continued his hot streak this spring, finishing as the top golfer on the day. Morelli shot a 69 on the day, finishing one shot under par. Morelli bested a trio of golfers from Grove City, Bethany and Pitt-Bradford by two shots.
Notables: Freshman
Davis Kittsley (Fox Chapel, Pa./Fox Chapel) finished as the next best golfer for the Presidents first place team. Kittsley shot a 72 through two rounds, finishing in a tie for fifth place with a golfer from Pitt-Bradford.
Luke Eckmann (Clancy, Mont./Jefferson) rounded out the top golfers for the Presidents headline unit, finishing in a tie for 11
th place with an 18-hole score of 75.
Alexander Robins (Buckinghamshire, England/Bedford School) led the way for the W&J secondary team, finishing seventh with a round score of 73.

Top Team: W&J concluded the tournament as the victors of the Thiel Spring Invitational, posting a day score of 292. The squad concluded the day 12 shots over par and edged second place Pitt-Bradford by two shots.
