Six Presidents Earn Men’s Tennis All-PAC Honors

TRAFFORD, Pa. – Six Presidents from the Washington & Jefferson College men's tennis team have been selected to the All-Presidents' Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Teams, as announced by the conference on Tuesday (May 12).
 
Freshman Colby Peters (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) and senior Jackson Akers (Logan, W. Va./Logan) were named to the All-PAC Second Team for their doubles play. Peters, along with junior Jacob Bennett (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington Central), senior Nate Clarke (New Kensington, Pa./Valley), and junior Nick Bussard (New Kensington, Pa./Valley) were all named as PAC Honorable Mentions for their singles play. Clarke, alongside partner and classmate Alex Duing (South Park, Pa./South Park), were selected as PAC Honorable Mentions for their doubles play as well. 
 
Peters and Akers finished the year with a 7-2 record as a doubles tandem. This includes a positive 4-2 record in PAC doubles play. Individually, Akers finished the 2025-26 campaign with a 9-4 record in doubles. Peters finished the year with a 7-3 doubles record individually. This is Akers' third All-PAC selection and Peters' first.  In singles play, Peters finished his rookie campaign with a 4-3 singles record in PAC conference matches and had a 6-8 record overall.
 
Clarke led the Presidents with nine singles wins this season, including a 5-2 record during conference matches. Alongside Duing, the tandem also finished the season with a 3-4 PAC doubles record. This is the second All-PAC selection for Duing and the first for Clarke.   
 
Bussard finished his junior season with a 6-3 record in singles play, including a 3-2 record during conference matches. The is the second All-PAC selection for Bussard.
 
Bennett competed at the No. 1 singles position for the Presidents throughout his first campaign with W&J. This is Bennett's first All-PAC selection.
 
W&J men's tennis finished the season with a 6-12 overall record, and an even 4-4 record in conference play. The team picked up their first PAC playoff win since Coach Lynch has taken the helm.
