W&J Men's Lacrosse Continues Undefeated Start

Box Score ALLIANCE, OHIO -- Tim Angell scored four goals and Washington & Jefferson remained unbeaten following an 8-4 men's lacrosse victory over Mount Union Saturday at Mount Union Stadium.

The Presidents improved to 3-0 for the first time in school history despite being outshot by the Purple Raiders (1-3) by a 29-26 margin.  Kyle Heinig racked up his third-straight hat trick to begin his college career and Conor Crowe made 12 saves in goal.

W&J led 4-2 at halftime, but Mount Union scored twice in the third quarter to force a tie heading into the final 15 minutes.  After a scoreless seven minutes, Angell took over with three goals in a span of three minutes to seal the Presidents' victory.

Washington & Jefferson hopes to extend its win streak to begin the year Wednesday night at Frostburg State (7:00 pm).
