How it Happened: Washington & Jefferson traveled to West Virginia Wesleyan and split the nonconference meet, with the women coming away with a win and the men suffering a loss.
Top Finishers: Alexis Glenn and
Rachel Murphy led the women with four wins each. Glenn took first in the 100 backstroke (1:02.93), 200 backstroke (2:17.65), 100 butterfly (1:03.01), and contributed to the 200 medley relay along with
Laura Travers, Murphy and
Madison Babicka. Murphy once again assisted in the achievement of first place in the 200 medley relay (1:57.03), timed 1:13.84 in the 100 breaststroke, took the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:39.73, and placed first in the IM for the second time in the week with a time of 2:21.53.
Zach Lauer placing first in three events led the men. Lauer timed 56.17 in 100 backstroke, 2:04.12 in 200 backstroke, and assisted in the 1:44.30 win in the 200 medley relay along with
Kevin Dunigan,
Matt Noel and
Austin Ables.
The Rest: Travers not only placed in the 200 medley relay, but also placed first in 200 freestyle (2:04.57) and the 500 freestyle (5:32.24). Along with the 200 medly relay win, Ables also topped the board in the 50 freestyle (23.33) and the 100 freestyle (51.54).
What's Next: The Presidents will continue on the road and travel to York to take on the Spartans on Nov. 14 at 1:00 pm.
