GROVE CITY Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson swimming teams took part in the second day of events at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships on Friday, Feb. 10, while the men's and women's diving teams dove in the three- and one-meter preliminaries, respectively. The women remained in fourth place after the second day (277 points) while the men dropped one spot into fourth place (298.5 points).

The women began the second day of competition with the team of
Alexis Glenn (
Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley),
Jillian McElhaney (Butler, Pa./Butler Area),
Rachel Nye (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) and
Madison Babicka (Demotte, Ind./Kankakee Valley) placing fourth in the 200 medley relay (1:51.52). Nye also finished 11th individually in the 100 butterfly (1:02.16).

Glenn competed in the 100 butterfly event and finished eighth (1:01.32) while recording a sixth-place finish in the 100 backstroke (1:02.37), edging McElhaney by 0.01 seconds.
Chloe Magyari (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) took fourth in the 200 freestyle finals (1:58.46) and Babicka finished 16th (2:05.46).

Ann O'Connor (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis),
Victoria Metz (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) and
Hayley Georgetti (Washington, Pa./Linsly) placed 12th (1:12.95), 14th (1:13.86) and 16th (1:17.05), respectively, in the 100 breaststroke event.

On the men's side
Nicholas Willison (Rockford,
Mich./Rockford),
Jeremy Glasner (Boyertown, Pa./
Boyertown Area),
Zach Lauer (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) and
Owen Hanna (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) also took fourth in the men's 200 medley relay with a time of 1:38.36. Hanna also took eighth in the 200 freestyle (1:47.27), finishing just behind
Joshua Emde (Ballwin, Mo./Parkway West) who took seventh (1:47.16).

Glasner also placed fourth individually in the 400 IM (4:21.51) with
Tyler Willison (Rockford,
Mich./Rockford) taking first in the B-finals (4:26.84), ninth overall.

Ian Geister (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) placed 13th in the 100 butterfly (54.76). N. Willison and Lauer finished fifth (52.77) and seventh (53.76), respectively, in the 100 backstroke while
Jared Rebman (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Mechanicsburg) and
Matt Noel (
Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) both turned in 14th-place finishes in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.90) and 100 backstroke (1:00.33), respectively.

The Presidents will return to the pool for the third and final day of the PAC Championships tomorrow, Feb. 11, with preliminary events beginning at 10 a.m.
