MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- For a consecutive week, the Washington & Jefferson football team was represented by a pair of student-athletes on the D3football.com Team of the Week.
Senior linebacker
Cody Milsom (Butler, Pa./Knoch) was chosen for the first time, while sophomore wide receiver
Andrew Wolf (Ashland, Ohio/Hillsdale) repeated as an honoree. Wolf becomes the second President placed on the weekly honor roll, which is in its 20th season, in sequential weeks, and the fifth President to ever claim multiple accolades.
Milsom posted a game- and career-high 12 tackles in Saturday's 62-10 win over Grove City at Cameron Stadium. Of his total stops, 11 were solo and three went for losses. His 12 total tackles were tied for second last week in the Presidents' Athletic Conference, while his 11 stops were the most for one player.
Wolf hauled in six passes for a career-best four touchdowns and 196 yards on Saturday afternoon. The wide receiver had scoring grabs of 66 and 20 yards in the first quarter and later added an 80-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter and a 15-yard pass in the third period. His 80-yard score was the longest by a President since former All-AmericanÂ
Jesse Zubik had an 80-yard TD reception at Thiel on Nov. 8, 2014.
Through four weeks of the 2018 campaign, Wolf leads all divisions of NCAA football with 711 receiving yards and 12 receiving touchdowns.
The Presidents hit the road for a PAC game at Bethany on Saturday, Sept. 29, with kick-off in West Virginia set for 2 p.m.
