LATROBE, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson men's swimming & diving team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference meet to host Saint Vincent College by a 168-72 score on Tuesday night. The Presidents collected three victories during the meet.
Colin Higinbotham (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) secured a pair of victories during the meet. Higinbotham was first in the 100 Fly. His time of 55.90 is the third fastest among PAC competitors this season. He added a narrow victory in the 50 Free by logging a time of 22.51.
Nathan Smith (Fort Defiance, Va./Fort Defiance), the reigning PAC Rookie of the Week, claimed a victory by a posting a time of 56.43 in the 100 Back. Smith added a runner-up finish in the 100 Fly, as his time of 56.81 was second behind Higinbotham.
Andrew Ivory (Gibsonia, Pa./Mars) was second best in the 200 IM with a time of 2:12.65.
Chris Edwards (Bexley, Ohio/St. Charles Prep) was the runner-up inn the 500 Free, as the freshman touched the wall with a time of 5:30.17. His brother,
Andrew Edwards (Colombus, Ohio/St. Charles Prep, was second in the 200 Free with a time of 2:01.76.
W&J returns to competition when they compete in the annual PAC Championships on Tuesday, March 2 and Friday, March 5 at Grove City College's James E. Longnecker Pool.
