ITHACA, N.Y. – Washington & Jefferson College swimming & diving freshman diver
Zach Lloyd (Dillsburg, Pa./Lloyd Academy (Homeschooled)) wrapped the weekend at the NCAA Region 4 Diving Regionals, competing in both the 1-Meter and 3-Meter Dives. The two-day event was hosted by Ithaca College at the Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium.
Lloyd finished 18
th in the 3-meter dive with 324.85 points on Friday's session. The freshman totaled 392.55 points in the 1-meter dive to place 12
th of 18.
Two weeks ago, Lloyd earned the PAC's Men's Diver of the Year award and First Team All-PAC honors in his first conference championship meet. Lloyd finished the second day of the conference championships with a NCAA regionally qualifying score of 452.10, which crowned him as the 2024-25 PAC 1-Meter Diving Champion. Lloyd completed the sweep in the 3-meter dive with a score of 362.25 to be crowned champion. Those totals helped him meet the qualifying standards on both boards for the NCAA Division III Region 4 (Northeast/South) at Ithaca.
The last time a W&J diver made it to regionals was in 2021-22, when women's diver Taylor Weyrich journeyed to Ithaca, N. Y. That year, Weyrich placed 17
th in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dive. She also was awarded the Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Diver of the Year.
