TRAFFORD, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College Swimming & Diving team's
Logan Marks (West Mifflin, Pa./West Mifflin) and
March Yuan (Simi Valley, Calif./Oak Park) were named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer and Newcomer of the Week, announced by the conference Tuesday (Oct. 15).
Marks won two events in a tie with visiting Penn State Altoona, 114.5-114.5. Marks won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 59.37 and the 200-yard IM with a mark of 2:08.08.
Yuan played a pivotal role in the Presidents home opening tie with visiting Penn State Altoona. The freshman won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:49.24 and the 200-yard butterfly with a mark of 54.95. of 1:40.38.
Both swimmers aided in the Presidents' first-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:40.38.
The Presidents return to the lanes and diving well to face off against Salem and Wheeling, Wednesday (Oct. 16). Competition is scheduled to commence at 3:00 p.m.
