ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Washington & Jefferson competed at their last Indoor invitational before heading to the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship being held on February 24. W&J found great success at the Mount Union Last Chance meet on Saturday afternoon recording 25 total season or lifetime bests.
Men
Nate Sciarro (Beaver Falls, Pa./Riverside) was the highest finisher of all of W&J's participants Saturday afternoon. Sciarro won the Long Jump with his leap of 7.01 meters, which ranks him 25th in Division III.Â
Ian Baughmann (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) took second place in the 60-meter hurdles with his time of 8.85.
Jake Sinclair (Beallsville, Pa./Beth-Center) grabbed fourth place in the Mile Run with his personal-best time of 4:38.41.
Julian Paul (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) finished fifth in the 800-meter run (1:59.03) with teammate
Aden Dressler (Evans City, Pa./Butler) finishing right behind him in seventh place with a 2:00.45.
Sam Garber (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) finished in the top 10 in the 400-meters recording a 55.79 while
Declan Fricko (New Bethlehem, Pa./Redbank Valley) placed in the top 10 in the high jump with his eighth place jump of 1.85 meters.
Hunter Bennett (East Canton, Ohio/East Canton) was W&J's top thrower with his personal-best Shot Put distance of 11.76 meters.
The quartet of Garber, Paul, Dressler, and Baughman finished in third in the 400 meter relay, posting a time of 3:38.58.
Women
Jadyn Hartner (Washington, Pa./Fort Cherry) finished third in the triple jump with her personal-record leap of 10.16 meters. She now ranks fifth on the W&J all-time list in the triple jump. Additionally, Hartner posted a personal-best indoor time of 1:05.40 in the 400 meters.
Cassie Carr (Girard, Pa./Girard) finished third in the Mile with a time of 5:24.67.Â
Faith Remich (New Kensington, Pa./Burrell) took a third place finish in the 800 meters (2:27.75).
Bre Trusler (Daisytown, Pa./California) placed in the Top 10 in the 60-meters (8.65 seconds) and a season-best in the 200 meters (28.36).Â
Anna Stroup (Port Royal, Pa./Juniata) finished in the top 10 in the 60-meter hurdles with her time of 10.41.
Lizzie Carmichael (Wyoming, Ohio/Wyoming) was W&J's top thrower with her indoor personal-record Shot Put distance of 9.70 meters.Â
W&J will travel to Youngstown, Ohio on Thursday February 24 for the PAC Indoor Championships. The Championships are set to start at 1 p.m.
