INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On Friday evening, the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced that W&J senior
Jadyn Hartner (Washington, Pa./Fort Cherry) earned qualification to the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
The championships will be held May 23-25 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
For each individual event contested, including the decathlon and heptathlon, the top 22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 16 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition.
Hartner ranks 15th in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:02.55. Hartner posted that time Thursday in competition at the Mount Union Last Chance Meet. The personal best effort was enough to leapfrog Hartner into qualification for the first time in her collegiate career.
Hartner will take part in prelims in the 400 Hurdles on Thursday, May 23. The prelims are set to go off at 6:25 p.m.
The senior has enjoyed a memorable final campaign in the Red and Black. Just last month, Hartner claimed individual titles in both the 100 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles at the 2024 PAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
