TRAFFORD, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson College golfer Brooke Vowcheck (Peters Township, Pa./Peters Township) has been awarded the PAC women's golf Newcomer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday (Oct. 7).  This is the third time this season that she has been selected for this award.
 
Vowcheck finished in fourth place with a two-round score of 164 at the Beaver Fall Classic, hosted by Bluffton University.  Vowcheck was consistent on the weekend, shooting an 82 in each round of the classic.
 
The Presidents return next week when they head to Warren, Ohio, for the Presidents' Athletic Conference Fall Championships.  This two-day event will take place on Monday (Oct. 13) and Tuesday (Oct. 14).
