GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College swimming & diving teams wrapped the fourth and final day of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Grove City College. The W&J finished in second-place with 635 team points, while the W&J women remained in sixth with 334 team points.
The Presidents were awarded three PAC yearly conference championship awards. Freshman diver
Zach Lloyd (Dillsburg, Pa./Lloyd Academy (Homeschooled)) was awarded PAC Men's Diver of the Year following his sweep of the diving events. Lloyd completed the sweep in the 3-meter dive with a score of 362.25 to be crowned champion. Lloyd is the first W&J diver to earn PAC Diver of the Year since Taylor Weyrich during the 2021-22 conference championships.
Coaches
Matt Rochna and
Josh Vasko '17 were both honored for their accomplishments in 2024-25. Rochna claimed his first PAC Men's Coach of the Year honor after leading the W&J men to their first second-place finish at the conference championships since the 2015-16 season. Vasko picks up his second PAC Diving Coach of the year honor after his success with Lloyd as a freshman.
Logan Marks (West Mifflin, Pa./West Mifflin) caps his swimming career with W&J as a back-to-back PAC champion. The senior captain was crowned the 200-yard breaststroke champion after swimming to a first-place finish by milliseconds with a time of 2:06.19. Teammate
Nathaniel Harden (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) accompanied Marks in the A-final, finishing eighth with a time of 2:22.29.

Daniel Jeffries (Irwin, Pa./Hempfield Area),
Aiden Marks (West Mifflin, Pa./West Mifflin),
Brian Lowry (Wenonah, N.J./Gloucester County Institute of Technology) and L. Marks placed third in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:16.15.
Freshman
March Yuan (Simi Valley, Calif./Oak Park) pushed his way to a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:59.14.
Micah Lohr (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) finished directly behind Yuan in fifth with a time of 2:03.02.
Dual-sport athlete
Brody Souder (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) closed out the conference championships with a fourth-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:14.37.
Aidan Miller (Grove City, Ohio/St. Charles Prep) followed close behind, pacing his way to seventh and a time of 17:57.67.
Freshman
Ethan Glessner (McKeesport, Pa./Elizabeth Forward) picked up a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:58.89.
Luna Balzano (El Portal, Fla./Broward Virtual School) capped her career week at the conference championships with a top finish in the 200-yard butterfly. The sophomore swimmer raced her way to a third-place finish with a time of 2:17.14.
The relay unit of
Sophia Garrett (Cincinnati, Ohio/Saint Ursula Academy),
Taylor Newton (,
Morgan Baughman (West Newton, Pa./Mount Pleasant) and Balzano finished third in yet another relay. The unit raced their way to a time of 3:45.87 in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Garrett logged a top finish in the 200-yard backstroke. The sophomore finished fourth with a time of 2:15.82.
Maddie Malone (Charlottesville, Va./Monticello) logged a podium finish in the 200-yard breaststroke in sixth with a time of 2:38.23.
Baughman mustered a top eight performance in the sprint freestyle. The sophomore sprinter raced her way to a seventh-place mark in the A-final with a time of 56.29.
Lloyd and the Presidents' coaching staff returns to the diving well for the NCAA Diving Regionals starting on Friday (Feb. 28) through Saturday (March 1). The event is scheduled to be held in Ithaca, N. Y. hosted by Ithaca College.
