TRAFFORD, Pa. - Washington & Jefferson College men's soccer freshman goalkeeper Logan Joseph (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) has been named the first Presidents' Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week in 2025, announced by the conference Monday (Sept. 1). 

Joseph opened his collegiate career with a 1-0 shutout victory over La Roche during his debut and season opener for the Presidents. Joseph saved all seven shots on goal by the Redhawks in a full 90 minutes of work. Five of his stops came in a scoreless first half and he made two more after W&J took the lead in the 53rd minute, including denying a potential game-tying attempt with just under six minutes to play.

The Presidents look to take their defensive momentum back to Alexandre Stadium for their home opener against the Marietta Pioneers on Wednesday (Sept. 3). Opening touch is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.
