TRAFFORD, Pa. - Washington & Jefferson College women's tennis freshman Austyn Paugh (Jane Lew, W.Va./Notre Dame) has been named as the Presidents' Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week, announced by the conference Monday (Sept. 8). 

In her collegiate debut for W&J, Paugh picked up two victories for the Presidents in a 5-2 win over Pitt-Greensburg.  Paugh first picked up the lone partnered play win at No. 3 doubles with teammate Mackenzie Gumto (Renfrew, Pa./Knoch) for W&J, 6-0.  At No. 6 singles, Paugh also picked up a victory, winning in straight sets (6-0, 6-0). 

The Presidents look to continue this productive start to the season when they travel to Division II Seton Hill on Wednesday (Sept. 10) in Harrison City, Pa. Doubles matches will begin at 4:00 p.m. with singles matches to follow.
