Men’s Wrestling Falls to Division II Fairmont State

WAYNESBURG, Pa. – In its final dual before the upcoming Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships, the Washington & Jefferson College Men's Wrestling team (6-12) fell by a 42-12 margin to NCAA Division II member (RV) Fairmont State Fighting Falcons (6-7) in non-conference competition on Thursday evening. 
 
Freshman De'Mier Hamilton (Canton, Ohio/McKinley) put together a strong performance at 157 pounds in the first contested bout of the evening. Hamilton battled but ultimately dropped by a narrow 15-14 decision in a hard-fought match. 
 
Senior Holden DuBois (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) picked up a victory for the Presidents at 125 pounds. DuBois successfully pinned his opponent at the 2:27 mark of the bout to give the Presidents all six points. Abrahem Asaad (Scenery Hill, Pa./Bentworth) also earned a win by forfeit at 184 pounds for the Red and Black. 
 
The Presidents have one last invitational to prepare for the PAC Championships next weekend. W&J will close out the regular season by heading to the John Summa Invitational. The invitational, hosted by the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets, will begin at 10:00 a.m.
