FULL RESULTSERIE, Pa. -- Competing in a field of largely NCAA Division II squads, the Washington & Jefferson women's golf team finished 12th at the two-day Evann Parker Memorial hosted by Mercyhurst at Lake View Country Club.
Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) claimed the team title with a overall score of 662. Individual medalist honors went to Eva Schonander (78-79) of Gannon (Pa.) and Becky Gossard (80-77) of West Virginia Wesleyan, who carded 157 each.
The Presidents were the second-highest finishing Division III team in the field, posting a 731 (366-365) at the event.
Marissa Sudar was the highest-finishing Division III golfer as her 165 (87-78) was good for a ninth-place tie in the field of 94 golfers. Her second-day score of 78 was tied for the third-lowest round of the entire tournament.
Michelle Klein was second for W&J, firing a 184 (91-93) in 36 holes, good for a tie for 57th.
Kaitlyn Vogel was next for W&J, six strokes back at 190 (94-96).
Jennifer Suder finished with a 192 (94-98) and
Allison Vargo rounded out the Presidents' squad with a 196 (97-99).
The Presidents have one more tune-up before the Presidents' Athletic Conference Fall Championship, traveling to the John Carroll Invitational next weekend, Sept. 20-21.
