FULL RESULTSNORWALK, Ohio -- The Washington & Jefferson women's golf team finished third out of 11 teams at the John Carroll Invitational hosted at the Eagle Creek Golf Experience.
The Presidents finished with a two-day team total of 715 to finish 30 strokes back of St. Francis (Ind.) who won the team title. Heather Steiner of sixth-place Lourdes took home individual medalist honors with a 167 on 36 holes.
Michelle Klein was the top finisher for W&J, finishing tied for seventh with a 174 after shooting an 84 on the opening 18 holes and a 90 on Sunday. Reigning Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week
Marissa Sudar tied for 16th with a 178 (92-86).
Jennifer Suder was one stroke back and tied for 18th place at 179 (93-86).
Kaitlyn Vogel (188) and
Allison Vargo (198) rounded out the lineup for the Presidents.
W&J will compete at the PAC Fall Championships at New Castle Country Club on Mon.-Tues. Sept. 29-30. The event makes up one-half of the league's championship event and the team with the lowest combined score over the 72 holes of the fall and spring events will represent the conference in the NCAA Tournament.
