GRANVILLE, Ohio -- The Washington & Jefferson women's golf team opened the Fall portion of the 2014-15 season with a 10th-place finish at the Denison Fall Invitational.

Wittenberg won the 16-team field with a total score of 637 behind first-place finisher Jane Hopkinson-Wood, who carded a 151.

Marissa Sudar led the Presidents, finishing in a tie for 42nd place. She carded a 91 on the first day and a 90 on the second day for a 36-hole total of 181. Allison Vargo was next for W&J, tallying a 183 (95-88).

Kaitlyn Vogel and Jennifer Suder tied for 53rd with 185. Vogel's score by round went 93-92 and Suder's was 90-95. Michelle Klein rounded out the W&J lineup with a 189 (91-98) at the Granville Golf Course.

The Presidents return to the course next weekend, Sept. 12-13 at the Mercyhurst Invitational in Erie, Pa.
