Women's Golf places second at McDaniel Spring Invite

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. -- The Presidents finished second of five teams at the McDaniel Spring Invitational, held at The Bridges Golf Club.

W&J scored a 137-over par 713 (360-353) to finish 23 strokes behind St. Lawrence for first place. Claire O'Neil claimed medalist honors at +17 161 (84-77) for St. Lawrence.

Michelle Klein and Marissa Sudar led the Presidents, tying for second place at +31 175. Klein carded an 86 on the first day and 89 on day two, while Sudar recovered from a 92 on the first day to score an 83 on the second day. Klein had one of two birdies of the tournament for W&J, which came on the par-four 14th during the first round.

Kaitlyn Vogel was just behind at +35 (179-90-89), good for 10th place. Jennifer Suder, who had the only other birdie for W&J (on the par-four 17th), tied for 12th at +44 (188-92-96). Allison Vargo rounded out the lineup in 15th place at +47 (191-99-92).

The Presidents return to the course on Tuesday, April 14 at the Saint Vincent Invitational, hosted at the Glengarry Golf Links in Latrobe, Pa., with an 11 a.m. start.
