Women's Golf

W&J places second at Saint Vincent Invitational

LATROBE, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson women's golf team placed second of six teams at the annual Saint Vincent Invitational, hosted at the Glengarry Golf Links.

The Presidents carded a 341 to finish 15 strokes behind Carnegie Mellon for the team title. The Tartans had two golfers share medalist honors as Summer Kitahara and Robin Tan tied for first at +7 77.

W&J's Jocelyn Sudar was two strokes back, tying for third place at 79 (+9). Marissa Sudar was fifth, firing a +15 85. Kaitlyn Vogel tied for sixth place with a +17 87 and Michelle Klein finished in eighth at +20 90.

Allison Vargo (91), Jennifer Suder (96), Amanda Halula (97), Maeve Palmieri (100) and Kylie McKenna (104) also competed for the Presidents.

W&J will travel to Erie, Pa., for the Mercyhurst Invitational this weekend, Saturday, April 18.
