STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- The Washington & Jefferson College men's swimming and diving team fell short Saturday afternoon in a non-conference loss to Hiram College.
The men's team started off their afternoon with a first-place finish in the 200-medley Relay (1:45.33). This lineup included
Daniel Jefferies (Irwin, Pa. / Hempfield Area),
Logan Marks (West Mifflin, Pa. / West Mifflin),
Nathaniel Harden (Greensburg, Pa. / Hempfield Area) and
Aiden Marks (West Mifflin, Pa. / West Mifflin).
The W&J men were led by
Logan Marks and Jeffries, who each finished with two individual first place finishes. Marks finished first in the 100-Breaststroke and 200-Yard Breaststroke. Jefferies claimed top spot in the 100-Backstroke and 200-Yard Backstroke.
Harden claimed an individual first place finish in the 100 Yard Butterfly (1:00.94).
Aiden Miller (West Mifflin, Pa. / West Mifflin) recorded a time of 18:54.34 to claim second place in the 1650 Yard Freestyle and a time of 55.43 to race to a second-place finish in the 100 Yard Freestyle as well.
Aiden Marks collected a second place and third place finish on the day in the 50 Yard Freestyle (23.54) and the 200 Yard Freestyle (2:00.17), respectively.
W&J will wrap up their Presidents' Athletic Conference dual meets next Saturday as they travel to Grove City, Pa. The PAC
matchup between the Presidents and Wolverines is scheduled for a 1 P.M. start time.
