GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College swimming & diving teams opened the 2024 Presidents' Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships Wednesday evening at Grove City College. The four-day annual event is taking place at the James E. Longnecker Competition Pool.
The W&J men finished third in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:36.59. The quartet of
Daniel Jeffries,
Nathaniel Harden,
Logan Marks and
Aiden Marks competed on the Presidents' top team in the event.
The women's squad finished fifth in the 200 Medley Relay. The top Presidents' team of Sophie Garrett,
Maddie Malone,
Amanda Graves and
Luna Balzano recorded a time of 1:58.71.
In the 800 Free Relay, the top W&J team finished in fifth place.
Andrew Killen, Harden,
Perry Barnhart and
Aidan Miller logged a time of 8:00.85.
The women's 800 Free Relay team finished fifth with a time of 8:39.62.
Taylor Newton, Graves, Malone and
Morgan Baughman made up the relay team for W&J in the 800.
W&J is fourth in the men's standings (74 points) while the women are fifth (56 points) after the opening night of competition.
The second day of the PAC Championships on Thursday, Feb. 15, will feature prelims and finals in the 50 Free, 500 Free, the 200 Individual Medley and the 200 FreeRelay.
