Women’s Swimming & Diving Named CSCAA Fall Scholar All-America Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Washington & Jefferson college women's swimming & diving team was announced as a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Fall Scholar All-America Team for their academic achievements, released by the organization Monday (Feb. 3).

The W&J women, led by seventh year head coach Matt Rochna, attained a 3.38 cumulative team grade-point average.

A total of 781 teams from 459 institutions earned the award while 19,209 student-athletes were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements across the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA.

To earn this prestigious recognition, teams were required to achieve a grade point average (GPA) above 3.0 during the Fall 2024 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 654 recorded a GPA of 3.30 or higher, qualifying them for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.

Both swimming and diving teams return to the pools for the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships, starting Wednesday (Feb. 19).
