BELLE VERNON, Pa. -- Washington & Jefferson College claimed its eighth Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship, its first since 2010, Saturday at Cedarbrook Golf Club. Â W&J earns the PAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament and the Presidents are primed for their first-ever appearance in the national tournament. Â The 2015 NCAA Tournament begins May 12 at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Â
The Presidents cruised to the 72-hole team championship (36 holes - fall; 36 holes - spring) by 146 strokes. Â W&J entered the spring championship with a 63-stroke lead and the Presidents only widened the gap by posting 352 strokes Friday and 343 shots Saturday. Â W&J's 72-hole total of 1,439 bested Westminster (1,585), Grove City (1,618), Thomas More (1,637), Saint Vincent (1,661), Thiel (1,726) and Waynesburg (1,758). Â
W&J Head Coach
Sean Dove was honored as the PAC Women's Coach of the Year for the third time in his career. Â He also guided the men's team to the PAC championship and was selected coach of the year for the fourth time, giving him seven PAC coach of the year awards in his seventh season as the Presidents' head coach. Â

The Presidents had five of the top eight finishers from spring's 36 holes, including PAC Spring Medalist
Jocelyn Sudar, who shot a tournament-low round of 79 Saturday to post a two-day score of 161. Â Esther Durling of Grove City, named PAC Medalist for the 72-hole tournament, was second with 166 (85-81). Â
Marissa Sudar and
Jennifer Suder both carded two-day totals of 174 to tie for third place. Â
Marissa Sudar followed Friday's round of 90 with 84 strokes Saturday. Â Suder collected the second-lowest round of the spring championship with 81 shots after shooting 93 Friday. Â
Michelle Klein fired a two-day score of 179 (90-89) to place fifth, while Allie Vargo (90-94) tied for sixth place with 184 strokes. Â
Kaitlyn Vogel shot 91 on Saturday for the Presidents, while
Amanda Halula turned in a two-day score of 191 (97-94). Â
