Michael Revak ’98 is the first golfer in Presidents’ Athletic Conference history to win four consecutive conference individual championships. Additionally, he led W&J to four-straight conference team titles from 1995 to 1998.
As a freshman, Revak bested the PAC field by 12 strokes following back-to-back rounds of 81. His score helped W&J win the team championship by 10 strokes. Revak followed that first season up with another PAC title with rounds of 79 and 81 to edge teammate Adam Dunlap by three shots at Speidel Golf Club. The Presidents dominated the team standings with a 61-stroke team victory.
W&J hung on once again the following April as Revak’s four-stroke medalist honor (82-78) helped W&J win the team championship over Grove City by four shots. Revak capped his career with rounds of 77-75 at the 1998 conference championship tournament for a five-stroke victory over Waynesburg’s Brian Shimek.
Prior to Revak’s four-peat, no other PAC golfer had ever won more than two league championships (PAC started men’s golf in 1956). In 2014, Revak was selected to the PAC’s 60th Anniversary Team, recognizing him as one of the top golfers in league history.
Revak teaches physics at Albert Gallatin High School and is the boys golf coach at nearby Laurel Highlands High School.
