Hall of Fame
Jennifer Marabella ’13 is just the third W&J field hockey player selected to the W&J Athletic Hall of Fame, joining Amanda Howard ’08 (2022) and Paige Fairbaugh ’84 (2023).
Marabella has remained as the Presidents’ all-time leading goal scorer for 12 years after netting 59 goals from 2009-2012. She also finished her career with 232 shot attempts. In 2010, Marabella netted a W&J single-season record 22 goals and was selected as the Empire 8 Conference Player of the Year.
She also became the first All-American in W&J field hockey history, earning second-team laurels from the NFHCA. During that historic season, Marabella was 13th in NCAA Division III in goals per game (1.16) and 19th in points per game (2.68). She helped W&J amass the 16th-best scoring offense in the nation. Marabella was also the leading goal scorer (15) on W&J’s first Empire 8 championship team (2011) which played in the program’s first NCAA Tournament match.
The Presidents knocked off Utica 4-2 in the semifinals before edging Nazareth 2-1 in the title game. Marabella tied the game off a penalty corner pass from Arielle King early in the second half.
A four-time All-Empire 8 selection, Marabella collected 13 goals as a senior, giving her three of the top 10 highest single-season goal totals in program history
