Alan Bradstock ’86 was a four-year letterwinner for the men’s basketball program.

He came to W&J during the 1982-83 season and helped the Presidents to 11 victories, playing in 21 games as a freshman. As a junior, Bradstock was a leading force on the 1984-85 team which became the first W&J team to earn a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament field. The Presidents finished with an 18-6 record and a 11-1 mark in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference.

Bradstock averaged 16.0 points and 7.4 rebounds during the historic season in which he was selected to the All-Tournament Teams at the Muskingum and Johns Hopkins tournaments. After earning Second Team All-PAC accolades as a junior, Bradstock helped the Presidents to a 12-win season for his final collegiate year. He was chosen as First Team All-PAC and was selected to the Franklin & Marshall All-Tournament Team after averaging 17.0 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.

Bradstock remains 16th in W&J men’s basketball history with 1,219 points. He finished his career as a 72.2 percent free throw shooter (231-320).

He was a Phi Beta Kappa student and a two-year ROTC scholarship recipient. Bradstock was also a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
